Varanasi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Cantt railway station late on Friday night. During this, he talked to the operator in the state-of-the-art VIP lounge and inquired about its merits. After leaving Cantt station, PM Modi reached Khirkiya Ghat. The Khirkiya Ghat situated at the northern end of the city has been redesigned. It is being made paved till Adikeshav temple at Ganga-Varuna confluence. A CNG station has also been established by GAIL to run CNG boats at this ghat. PA Modi spent some time at Khirkiya Ghat and kept admiring the beauty of the ghat. During this, PM discussed with Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan about CNG-run boats and CNG stations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who went on a night tour after the road show, took stock of the passenger facilities at Cantt station (Varanasi Junction). Among them were the vehicles of SP workers returning after attending the road show on behalf of Nadesar. As soon as the vehicle stops, around 20 SP workers come out and start shouting ‘Jai Akhilesh’ by standing on the side of the road. Meanwhile, at 11.13 a.m. the Prime Minister’s convoy passes by, SP workers chanting ‘Jai Akhilesh’ even louder. The Prime Minister, seated in his car, greets him with a smile, waving his hand and the convoy passes ahead.
