Lucknow. After the pace of corona virus infection has slowed down, now the Government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a big decision to reopen all schools. From Monday, February 14, all government and private schools from nursery to class VIII will open in the state. Now the students will have to come to study physically in the classes. Online classes will not run. Chief Secretary Home Avnish Kumar Awasthi has issued orders in this regard. Let us inform that last week, a decision was taken to open secondary schools, universities and degree colleges from class nine to intermediate.
On behalf of Additional Chief Secretary, Home Avnish Kumar Awasthi, orders have been issued to open all the schools from Monday. He has told that all schools will be opened from Monday with the Kovid protocol. Till now online classes were going on, but now physical classes will be started following the corona protocol. Online classes will no longer run. This decision has been taken in view of the continuous decrease in corona infection. These schools will have to strictly follow the Kovid protocol.
Earlier on February 7, physical classes were started in all schools and universities and degree colleges from class 9 to intermediate. Since then, private schools have been continuously demanding to open schools from nursery to class eight. Eventually the order to open them too was issued on Thursday.
Guidelines have also been issued for the conduct of classes in schools. 50% of the students will be accommodated according to the strength of the classes. Masks will be mandatory for all students, teachers and staff. A help desk will be set up at the main gate of the school. Here people with symptoms of corona will be identified with the help of infra red thermometer, pulse oximeter etc. Adequate arrangements will also be made for sanitization and cleanliness in the school premises. Classes will be conducted following the Kovid protocol.
Guidelines issued
- It is mandatory for everyone to wear a mask in the school premises.
- If anyone shows symptoms of cold, fever etc., arrangements should be ensured to send him/her to their home with medical advice.
- Any event should be organized only when physical distancing can be followed in it.
- Kovid protocol will be applicable in cultural activities.
- Schools will have to be sanitized daily.
- Thermal scanning of teachers, staff and students should be done while entering.
- Arrangements should be made to sanitize hands at the gate itself.
