Lucknow. The Samajwadi Party has defeated the Bharatiya Janata Party in releasing the list of candidates of Lucknow in the 2022 assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh. Samajwadi Party has released the list of 10 candidates on Tuesday. In which along with Lucknow the names of candidates are from Unnao, Rae Bareli, Banda and Sultanpur.
The Samajwadi Party has fielded former minister Gomti Yadav from Lucknow’s Bakshi Ka Talab, Armaan from Lucknow West, Pooja Shukla from Lucknow North, Anurag Bhadauria from Lucknow East, Ravidas Mehrotra, East Minister from Lucknow Central and Raju Gandhi from Lucknow Cantt. Former minister Abhishek Mishra, who was MLA from Lucknow North, has not been nominated by the party this time. SP has cut ticket of Abhishek Mishra from Lucknow North and Mohammad Rehan from West.
The SP has given another chance to Gomti Yadav, who lost the 2017 election, and former ministers Ravidas Mehrotra and Anurag Bhadauria. The ticket of former MLA from Lucknow West, Rehan Ahmed, has been cut. From the north, the ticket of former minister Abhishek Singh has been cut. Armaan Khan, who left BSP from Lucknow West, has been fielded. Armaan Khan fought from BSP in this seat in 2017. Pooja Shukla has been given ticket from Lucknow North. The party has given ticket to Anurag Bhadauria from Lucknow East assembly seat. Anurag Bhadauria had fought in the 2017 elections on the Congress symbol in the SP-Congress alliance and lost to Ashutosh Tandon of the BJP. In Lucknow Central, former minister Ravidas Mehrotra lost the 2017 election from the same seat to BJP’s Brajesh Pathak by nearly five thousand votes.
Reward for showing black flag to CM Yogi Adityanath, ticket to Pooja Shukla from Samajwadi Party
Pooja Shukla, who started her political journey as a student leader from the Left organization AISA in Lucknow University, has got the reward of showing black flags to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow. Samajwadi Party has fielded Pooja Shukla as its candidate from Lucknow North assembly seat of Lucknow.
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has cut the ticket of Abhishek Mishra, who raised the Brahmin flag, who was MLA from this seat in 2012, to give ticket to Pooja Shukla. After the formation of the BJP government in 2017, Pooja Shukla had shown the black flag while going to the Lucknow University of CM Yogi Adityanath. After this Pooja was arrested and sent to jail. Pooja Shukla had to stay in jail for 26 days.
The Samajwadi Party has fielded Munna Alvi from Bangarmau in Unnao, Shyam Sundar Bharti from Bachhrawan Surakshit in Rae Bareli, Tahir Khan from Isauli in Sultanpur and Vishambar Yadav from Baberu in Banda. Samajwadi Party had already declared candidates for three assembly seats out of four in Banda district, while the churning was going on for Baberu seat (233). On Tuesday, the SP expressed confidence in former MLA Vishambhar Singh Yadav and declared the candidate. Samajwadi Party this time in alliance with Rashtriya Lok Dal, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party, Apna Dal Kameravadi, Mahan Dal and other smaller parties. Has landed in the field.
