Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday said that he will contest assembly elections from wherever the party says. For the first time, Yogi has made a comment about his own fight in the upcoming assembly elections.
Speaking to reporters at the Gorakhnath temple in Gorakhpur, Yogi Adityanath said that he would contest the forthcoming assembly elections for the first time at the behest of the party.
Yogi Adityanath is currently a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council.
Answering a question about his contest in the forthcoming Assembly elections, he said, “I have always contested elections and I will fight wherever the party says.”
“The party has a parliamentary board and it decides who will contest from where,” he said.
Chief Minister Yogi, while discussing in detail the positive changes that have taken place in the state during his tenure of four and a half years, said that what the BJP had said in the last assembly elections, it has done in every sector in four and a half years of government formation.
Adityanath said, “When we came in the government in the year 2017, the worst situation was law and order but today the law and order of Uttar Pradesh is a precedent in the whole country. There was no riot in four and a half years. All the festivals, including Diwali, ended peacefully.
He said, “Dipotsav has been organized on the global stage in Ayodhya. Diwali has been celebrated even before our arrival, Aquarius did not happen in Prayagraj for the first time but then there was a crisis of identity in front of Uttar Pradesh. With events like Dipotsav of Ayodhya, Bhavya-Divya Kumbh of Prayagraj, better law and order, abundant investment and employment opportunities and welfare schemes and their implementation till the person standing on the last rung of society, we have saved Uttar Pradesh from identity crisis. Today, wherever a person from Uttar Pradesh goes, he will be looked upon with respect.
The Chief Minister claimed that in four and a half years, there has been a massive investment in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier investment used to go out of India, today foreign investment is coming to India and Uttar Pradesh has become the ‘best destination’.
The Chief Minister informed that the Purvanchal Expressway is going to be inaugurated this month and its presentation has been given to the Prime Minister. He also informed about the reforms made in foodgrain distribution in the state.
The Chief Minister said that earlier it was said about Uttar Pradesh that the place where darkness starts is Uttar Pradesh but today this perception has been reversed.
