Lucknow. Police has taken the remand of Ashish Mishra Monu, the main accused in the case of death of eight people including four farmers in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence. CJM Lakhimpur Kheri had granted three-day remand of Ashish Mishra Monu, son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Kumar Mishra, after his appearance on Monday.
The Lakhimpur Kheri police have taken Ashish Mishra into their custody from the Lakhimpur Kheri district jail on Tuesday after getting his remand. For three days, along with the crime branch, a nine-member SIT constituted by the government will interrogate Ashish Mishra. Police has taken Ashish Mishra Monu on remand from the district jail to the crime branch office built in the police line.
After summoning Ashish Mishra Monu in the same office, on Saturday, the crime branch team arrested him after about 12 hours of interrogation. Now Ashish Mishra Monu will be questioned again in the case of this violence from today.
