Driver dies due to police beating?
Now another similar case has also come up from Bulandshahr in UP. Police brutally assaulted an e-rickshaw driver. The driver died during treatment. The incident is being told of Chaudhera village of Chhatari police station area. The family members of the e-rickshaw driver are creating a lot of ruckus by accusing the police of beating them.
The matter is such that Gauri Shankar, a resident of village Chaudhera, used to run an e-rickshaw. This is how his family used to run. It’s about Sunday night. Then Gauri Shankar was returning home after his work as usual. During this, there was a jam near the Vichitra Devi temple of village Chaudhera.
According to the allegations, it was only then that the policeman assaulted the rickshaw driver. He was hit so badly that he fainted. In a hurry, the family members of the driver took him to a private hospital in Aligarh, where he died during treatment.
On Monday morning, the relatives of the deceased driver created a ruckus outside the village gate. Along with taking action against the accused policemen, he also demanded compensation. In view of the uproar, heavy police bus was deployed on the spot.
2 policemen suspended
At the same time, taking action on this matter, 2 policemen were suspended. Along with this, it was also decided to provide financial assistance of 5 lakhs and to give contractual job to the wife of the deceased driver.
Giving information about this, SSP Santosh Kumar Singh said that the driver fainted due to stopping the e-rickshaw going to the fair. He died in Aligarh during treatment. According to the police, no injury marks are present on the body of the rickshaw puller. He was said to be an old patient of heart and TB. In this case, there have been allegations of assault on the sub-inspector and constable of the outpost. After preliminary inquiry, the sub-inspector and constable were suspended with immediate effect. At the same time, DM Ravindra Kumar told about financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the relatives of the deceased and a contractual job to the wife.
