Kabul. The ICC T20 World Cup is to be organized in UAE and Oman to be hosted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India. Since the Taliban’s occupation of Afghanistan, many questions are being raised about his playing in the tournament. In such a situation, the cricket board has now added a former veteran with it. This T20 World Cup is to be played from 17 October to 14 November 2021.
Former Zimbabwe captain and former England coach Andy Flower has been appointed as an advisor to the Afghanistan national team for the T20 World Cup. The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) announced this. Flower played a key role in England winning the T20 World Cup title in 2010. He was the coach of England from 2009 to 2014.
ACB President Azizullah Fazli said, “We are delighted that Andy has joined ACB. Andy has worked with many of our players in various franchise competitions and his vast experience will prove very beneficial and useful in helping the team in the World Cup.
