Shardul Thakur told what was going on in the minds of the players
In a special conversation with The Indian Express, Shardul Thakur reacted to the cancellation of this match. They said,
I heard that a lot was being talked about this. By the time the match was on, everyone was focusing on their game. This was the first time we were playing without our support staff. He used to call us after the end of the day’s play. I spoke to Bharat Arun sir and he used to tell me which line and length to bowl. If there was a point, he would tell me after the game. We were worried what would happen next? Assistant physio Yogesh Parman had touched everyone, so who will be the next victim of this virus. We had no idea how things were going to turn out. The next four-five days were very important for us as there was a fear in our mind that anything could happen. Everyone was concerned about the health of themselves and their families.
Earlier, captain Virat Kohli had said that the match had to be canceled due to fear of Corona.
