New Delhi. India is the No.1 ranked Test team. In fact, this is the fifth consecutive time he has finished the year at the top of the ICC Test rankings. His 2–1 win in Australia and a 3–1 win against England at home helped him end the year with a rating of 121, slightly ahead of New Zealand, which had a rating of 120. Therefore, it is no surprise that India and New Zealand have made it to the finals of the World Test Championship.
Regarding this final, former New Zealand batsman Mark Richardson has said that playing cricket against India is like playing golf against his boss. Both the teams get to see good competition, especially in the last few years, both teams have been heavy on each other. Even the dominance of both teams is almost equal in world cricket. The Indian team has lost only one series in the World Test Championship. This series was against New Zealand.
Speaking to Spark Sports, Richardson said, “I’ll see what you want to perform against personally. I look at India at the moment … and it’s like playing golf against your boss. You have to win. Allowed, but in the right way. You know, we beat them once or twice in New Zealand and it always felt a little dirty afterwards. It didn’t feel like we really beat them. ”
Mark Richardson talked about the three superpowers of international cricket – India, England and Australia – how different it is for New Zealand and its players to be against each of them. The biggest test for Richardson is to play against Australia in person. The former batsman played five Tests against the Australian team, scoring 200 runs with a best of 57.
