Lucknow. There is great news for the winners who are waiting to take the oath even after the results are announced on May 2 for the formation of the village government in Uttar Pradesh. The wait for those who won the election for the post of village head is over. Arrangements have been made to administer them oaths.
The Panchayati Raj department of the state will administer them all on 25 and 26 May. Even after this, older people will be deprived of it. Among them are a large number of people, who have died of corona infection or other cause before the results. With this, a large number of people will be deprived of taking the oath even after winning the election of the village head due to the dispute in the result.
On the instructions of the State Election Commission, the Uttar Pradesh Panchayati Raj Department has decided to administer the oath to those who won the post of village head in the panchayat elections. The winning village heads will be sworn in on 25 and 26 May. For this, all the District Collectors will have to complete their arrangements by 24 May. After the virtual oath ceremony on May 25 and 26, the newly elected heads of ministers will meet on May 27. Their first meeting will also be virtual due to Corona virus infection.
Winners will not be able to take the 911 Pradhan of Prayagraj: In Prayagraj, the winners will not take the 911 oath out of 1522 village heads. Only 611 will be administered the oath. Only 611 heads will be able to take oath in 1540 gram sabhas of the district. The remaining 911 will be administered at a later oath-taking ceremony. The first phase of 1540 gram sabha in Prayagraj district was held on April 15. After this all the posts of Pradhan were filled, but out of more than 19 thousand posts of Gram Panchayat members, about 10 thousand posts are vacant.
Now the time of swearing in for the panchayat is fixed till 26 June. The swearing in of some village heads will be stranded in almost all the blocks here. There are more than a dozen heads in Bahadurpur block whose swearing is not possible at the moment. DPRO, Renu Srivastava said that due to non-fulfillment of quorum, only 611 heads of 1540 gram sabhas will be able to take oath at present. Swearing of the remainder will be possible in the next phase.
