Kotdwar Male guldar has been imprisoned in a cage planted in village Godi Badi adjacent to Dugadda municipality in Pauri Garhwal district. The residents have breathed a sigh of relief from this. Sub-divisional forest officer Dinesh Ghildiyal and SOG in-charge Anurag Juyal reached the spot on the news of Guldar’s imprisonment. The forest department team has brought the cage from the village to Modakhal, from where Guldar will be sent to Chidipur Rescue Center. It is being told that Guldar’s canine is worn out. Let me tell you recently that she made a baby girl morsel.
Guldar’s figure was made in the area for a long time. At around seven o’clock in the evening of April 10, Guldar made an innocent mole near the village. Mahi, a three-and-a-half-year-old daughter of Chandra Mohan Dabral, a resident of village Godi Badi, was coming from her farm to her home on Saturday evening with her grandmother and other villagers. Mahi was walking ahead of her grandmother with the children. Meanwhile, sitting in ambush in the bushes, Guldar pounced on the girl and dragged her towards the bushes. The villagers started hurling stones towards the bushes, after which Guldar left Mahi on the spot and ran towards the forest.
After the incident, the forest department had set up cages at two places in the village. Kishore Nautiyal, Range Officer of Dugadda Range of Lansdowne Forest Division, said that a guldar was imprisoned in a cage planted near the village in the early hours of Thursday. Significantly, on March 11, Guldar also attacked a child in village Sarada, adjacent to Dugadda Nagar. The child was badly injured in Guldar’s attack.
