Dehradun. A case of sexually assaulting a divorced woman in Raipur area for one and a half years by threatening to marry and threatening to kill someone on the spot has come up. The woman has pleaded with the police for action, accusing the accused of being a threat to herself and her son.
A woman resident of Sahasradhara Road has complained to Raipur Police. Told that she was divorced in the year 2017. In June 2019, the woman met Amit Rana resident of MDDA Colony Raipur, who was also an old friend of the woman. Amit told the woman that he was working in the Indian Soil Conservation Department. During the conversation, when the woman told Amit about her previous life, Amit proposed marriage to her.
The woman initially declined the offer. But, after several days of negotiations, she agreed to the wedding. It is alleged that on 13 September 2019, Amit came to the woman and asked to visit Maldevata. On reaching Maldevata, Amit took the woman to a guest house. Where he tried to have a physical relationship with the woman, but the woman opposed him. Accused assured her of getting married and made her emotional. After which he had a physical relationship with the woman.
It is alleged that on 7 October 2019, in Maldevata, on 11 January 2020 in Mussoorie, on 14 August 2020, in Dhak Patti, the accused accused the woman of having sexual relations. The woman alleges that in June 2020, when she started living on rent on Kirsali Sahasradhara Road, the accused started coming there too often. After a long time, when the woman pressurized the accused to marry, he started avoiding her. It is alleged that the woman was also threatened by sending two unidentified youths to her home. On the complaint, the police have filed a case and started investigation.
