Dehradun. The weather has changed in Uttarakhand. In most areas, including Doon, the clouds encamped later in the afternoon and strong winds started blowing. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy rains in the mountainous districts in the next two days. Whereas, the plains may have showers with strong winds. The Meteorological Department has issued an Orange Alert regarding this. However, the possibility of rain is also expected to extinguish the fire in the forests of Uttarakhand.
Uttarakhand witnessed some changes in weather patterns on Monday after the weather remained dry for the past several days. The scorching sun blossomed in the afternoon, but the heat was felt, but by the evening, the strong winds amidst cloudy eyes provided some relief. However, till late evening there was no notice of rain anywhere in the state. Whereas, rain is being expected in view of the forests which are blazing extensively in the state. According to the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of light rains and hailstorms in the state on Tuesday. After this, there may be hailstorms in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Nainital, Almora and Pithoragarh on Wednesday. Whereas, heavy rain may occur in some areas. There is a possibility of snowfall in areas with an altitude of more than 3200 meters. Also, in the plains, gusting winds can run at a speed of 50 km per hour. It has been advised to take precaution by issuing Orange Alert by Meteorological Center. According to the department, fresh western disturbances may knock in Uttarakhand on Tuesday.
