Lucknow. A major rail accident averted on Friday night near Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Saptakranti Superfast Express 02558 going from Anand Vihar to Muzaffarpur was split in two parts near Kakori before coming to Lucknow in two parts. On the information of the guard, the driver, who had taken half a kilometer of the train, stopped the train. When the guard informed the railway control room about the incident, there was a stir. The train came to a sudden halt and there was chaos in the passengers. However, no passengers have been reported injured yet. Till late night, the work of connecting the couplings of the train was going on.
Divisional Railway Manager Sanjay Tripathi of Northern Railway Lucknow division has given instructions to investigate the entire incident. In Lucknow itself, the DRM has told about the statement of the driver and the guard. According to railway officials, Saptakranti Superfast Express arrives in Lucknow at 10:45 pm. After a ten-minute halt, it leaves for Muzaffarpur in Bihar. Operations officials said that the coupling used to connect the two coaches of the weekend Superfast Express opened around 9:42 pm as soon as Kakori crossed. The train had normal couplings.
With the Saptakranti Superfast Express train, passengers traveling in the train also had to face problems due to this accident. Some passengers were to land in Lucknow and their families had also come to take them to Charbagh station, after that when the passengers called, the passengers were informed about the whole situation. However, no passengers have been injured due to the opening of Kapilung. On the other hand, the passengers alleged that if the coupling used to connect the coaches was checked before the train could run, the incident would not have happened.
