Nachni (Pithoragarh): Bansabgarh Valley of Tejam Tehsil is still living in the Adam era. The good days of this valley have not come even after the MLA of the area is the Chief Minister and presently the government of double engine. A doli ambulance works to reach the road ten km away when someone falls ill in Pothi village in the valley.
Kansa, fifteenpala area of Bansabgarh valley is neither connected to communication facility nor health care till date. The road to Kota, fifteenpala has been reached. The road constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Yojana is closed during the monsoon period. It remains closed till the last month of the year. Pothi is a village in the same valley where the road has not been reached till date. The villagers of this village with fifty families deprived of road, communication and medical services are still living in their condition.
Harish Rawat, the MLA of this region, has been the Chief Minister of the state. Even after this, the demand of the villagers remained unheard. Currently there is a government of double engines but the problems of Pothi village are not going away. The villagers in the village say that they have learned to live in worse conditions, but when someone falls ill in the village, a serious problem arises. The patient has to be transported by doli ten km from the village to the road. The walkway is extremely dangerous. The villagers say that the assurances of the governments have been heard a lot, now the decision has been taken to boycott the village voting completely in next year’s Vis Election.
Village head Bhagirathi Devi of Khet Bharad told that leaders of parties including public representatives have been requested for the road dozens of times. Everyone gives assurances but the road is not constructed. The villagers have now decided to boycott the 2022 assembly elections. This decision can only be revoked in the direction of cutting the road for the village.
