New Delhi. The Chairman of the Rajya Sabha has warned members against using mobile phones for recording the proceedings of the House and stated that it would be a ‘breach of privilege’ if they did not do so. Chairman Venkaiah Naidu also warned media institutions about using such recording for broadcasting.
“Any use of a mobile phone would be a breach of privilege and the media is advised not to use recording,” Naidu said.
During the sloganeering on Tuesday, some members recorded the incident and posted it on social media.
The Opposition on Tuesday forced the Upper House to adjourn for the day after a fierce uproar over the issue of agricultural laws. The next day after the Budget was presented in the House on Monday, there was a lot of uproar and sloganeering on Tuesday.
The uproar began after Naidu rejected the adjournment notice given by the opposition on agricultural laws.
