Haridwar. The security of the railway station in Kumbh Mela will be vigilant. In addition to the platforms, 130 CCTV cameras will be installed throughout the station premises. Along with this, devotees will have to go through the Door Frame Metal Detector (DFMD) before entering the holding area. It will also be mandatory to check the goods with the baggage scanner machine.
Every effort is being made to make the Kumbh Mela safe with divine and grand. Extensive preparations have also been made by the railway administration. For crowd control at the station, a holding area has been erected near Jhanda Mela Ground and Mela platform number nine. Every devotee must pass through the DFMD before entering it. Along with this, self-examination of the hand held metal detector (HHMD) has to be done.
A joint control room has been set up above the Railway Reservation Center to monitor suspicious persons and items, where officers from various sections of the railway will be posted, apart from Railway RPF, GRP. In any kind of unpleasant situation, the officers sitting in the control room will immediately come into action. Apart from this, RPF personnel will also be deployed at different places.
RPF Inspector DS Chauhan said that a company RPF has arrived regarding Kumbh. Apart from this, 130 CCTV cameras are being installed to monitor the rumor. Apart from DFMD, HHMD, baggage scanner machines etc. have been demanded.
