Geneva | United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Affairs Michele Bachelet said the violent attack on America’s Capitol building showed the devastating effect of hatred of politicians. According to the news agency, a statement issued on Thursday evening quoted Bachelet as saying, “We are deeply troubled by Wednesday’s attack on the Capitol building, which clearly has devastating effects of facts, intentional distortion of facts, and by politicians Performed inciting violence and hatred. ”
“There have been allegations of electoral fraud to try to undermine the right to political participation,” he said.
In his statement, he called upon all politicians, including the US President, not to encourage false and dangerous statements and to not allow his supporters to do the same.
Police said four people, including a woman, were killed in the violence at the Capitol building.
