The state-of-the-art research activities conducted by CIMR in the disciplines of Yoga and Ayurveda were reviewed and its results were found to be impressive. The Ministry of AYUSH and AIIMS have also decided to extend the duration of research collaboration in CIMR and to expand the scope of collaborative activities. “In view of CIMR’s research work, other activities and achievements, it was felt that the establishment of dedicated OPD and IPD beds for CIMR could be the next stages of growth and development of CIMR,” the ministry said in its statement.
Both the AYUSH Secretary and the AIIMS Director agreed that it was possible to develop it into a full fledged Department for Integrated Medicine at AIIMS, given the increasing interest of patients in CIMR at AIIMS and the Center’s research body. Can.

The Secretary of AYUSH assured that the Ministry of AYUSH will endeavor to continue its support to CIMR until a dedicated department is developed. It was decided that CIMR and AIIMS could develop an integrated protocol with Ayurveda and Yoga for subsequent study of Kovid treatment. The progress of setting up of integrated AYUSH cancer care facilities at the National Cancer Institute in Jhajjar, Haryana was also reviewed.
