Gurugram Gurugram police have arrested four people from Farukhnagar, Garhi and Bas Kusla villages for selling firecrackers. According to the police, a general inquiry is being carried out to get the NGT to comply with the November 9 order, which has banned the sale of firecrackers in Delhi-NCR till December 1. This order has been issued to deal with the smoke problem arising out of burning of firecrackers.
Gurugram Police spokesman Subhash Bokan said, “A shop was sealed in Farukhnagar area before the duty magistrate on Wednesday. It was reported that fireworks are being sold illegally here.”
Police said that Satyaveer alias Billu, a resident of Valmiki Colony in Farukhnagar was arrested in this connection.
In the second case, the police recovered 6 kg of firecrackers from Khushi Ram of Bus Kusla village in Gurugram.
Apart from this, the police arrested Sanjay and Satya Prakash and recovered 11 boxes of firecrackers from them.
