new Delhi. Former defense minister Jaswant Singh died on Sunday morning. Army Hospital ‘Research and Referral’ (R&R) gave this information in an official statement here. He was 82. The statement said, “Major Jaswant Singh (retired), former cabinet minister, died at 6.55 am this morning. He was admitted on June 25 and undergoing treatment for sepsis with multiorgan dysfunction syndrome. This morning he was diagnosed with cardiac arrest. Arrest (heart attack). He was found corona negative during investigation. ”
Jaswant Singh was a close associate of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, handled important portfolios during the tenure of the late Prime Minister and was a stalwart leader of his time.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted, “Saddened by the passing away of veteran BJP leader and former minister, Mr. Jaswant Singhji. He served the country in many ways including being in charge of the Defense Minister. He has presented himself as an effective minister and MP. As distinguished. ”
He continued, “Mr. Jaswant Singhji will be remembered for his intellectual abilities and superb record in service to the nation. He also played an important role in strengthening the BJP in Rajasthan. Condolences to his family and supporters in this hour of grief. . om Shanti.”
Condolences have started coming. Speaker Om Birla also remembered Singh as a skilled politician and military officer.
