Shortly after nephew Akash Anand publicly apologized, Mayawati also accepted his apology through social media. She said that in view of devoting his life to the BSP party and the movement, it has been decided to give him another chance. However, she also made it clear that there is no question of appointing anyone as my successor at the moment.
Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati also made a series of posts on social media X after Akash apologized and said that a decision has been taken to take him into the party, but there is no scope for the return of her father-in-law Ashok Siddharth.
Decision to give one more chance: Mayawati
She said, “In view of Akash Anand publicly admitting his mistakes in his four posts on X today and giving full respect to senior people, as well as devoting his life to the BSP party and the movement by not giving in to his father-in-law’s words, it has been decided to give him one more chance.” While clarifying the situation regarding the party’s successor, Mayawati said, “Well, I am healthy right now and till I am fully healthy, like Honorable Kanshi Ram ji, I will continue to work for the party and the movement associated with it with full dedication and devotion. In such a situation, there is no question of appointing a successor from my side. I am firm on my decision and will remain so.”
No forgiveness for Akash’s father-in-law: Mayawati
Warning Akash for the future, Mayawati said, “After being expelled from the party, Akash has been continuously contacting people to apologize for all his mistakes and not to commit such mistakes in future.” She further said, today he has publicly accepted his mistakes and has expressed his resolve not to be influenced by his father-in-law.”
Strictly speaking about Akash’s father-in-law, Mayawati said, “However, the mistakes of Akash’s father-in-law Ashok Siddharth are unforgivable. He left no stone unturned in ruining Akash’s career along with many anti-party activities including factionalism. Therefore, there is no question of forgiving her and taking her back in the party.”
What did Akash say in his apology
Earlier today, on Sunday, Akash Anand had apologized to Mayawati on the social media platform X and demanded her return to the party. Akash had said, “I consider BSP national president and four-time UP Chief Minister Mayawati ji as my only political guru and ideal from my heart. Also, today I take a vow that for the benefit of BSP, I will not let my relations, especially my in-laws, become an obstacle at all.”
Akash also said, “I also apologize for my tweet made a few days ago due to which respected Behenji expelled me from the party. Now I will also ensure that I will not take any advice from any relative or advisor for any of my political decisions.”
