Major action has been taken in the case of the death of a minor during illegal detention in Basti’s Dubaulia police station. In this case, SP Basti has suspended Dubaulia SHO Jitendra Singh. At the same time, the constable and inspector who kidnapped the minor have been suspended and departmental inquiry has been ordered against them. The inspector and the constable kidnapped minor Adarsh Upadhyay on Monday and brought him to the police station and tortured him with third degree torture. Due to this his condition deteriorated.
After this, the accused inspector put Adarsh in the car and dropped him at his home. Seeing Adarsh’s condition, his family took him to the hospital, where he died during treatment. After this, Adarsh’s family and other villagers protested by keeping the body outside the hospital. On receiving the information, BJP district president Vivekanand Mishra, Harraiya MLA Ajay Singh and SP MLA Mahendra Nath Yadav also reached the spot.
The last rites of the minor have not been performed till now
At that time, he had calmed down the family members with great difficulty by assuring them of justice. On the other hand, on getting information about the incident, DM Ravish Kumar has constituted a two-member investigation committee and has summoned the report. Despite this, the anger of Adarsh’s family is not subsiding. Till now the family members have not performed the last rites of the body and the body is lying in the ambulance of the post-mortem house. The case is of Ubhai village of Dubaulia police station area.
Third degree was given in the police station
According to the information, 17-year-old Adarsh had gone to buy khaini on Monday evening. There he got into a scuffle at the shop. After this, the police reached the spot and took him into custody. It is alleged that he was taken to the police station and given third degree, due to which his condition deteriorated on Tuesday morning. The family took him to the hospital, but the doctors referred him as soon as they saw his condition and Adarsh died shortly after.
