Big news has come from a rehabilitation center located in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. More than 20 special children living in this center suddenly fell ill on Tuesday evening. These children were admitted to the hospital in a hurry, where two children were declared dead. At the same time, the condition of 16 children remains critical. They have been referred to Lokbandhu Hospital.
Some children have also been admitted to the hospital and trauma center in Balrampur for treatment. According to doctors, 5 children have been discharged after their condition improved. While two children have died. At the same time, 16 other children have been admitted to the ICU. According to doctors, no concrete reason has been found so far for the sudden deterioration of health of so many children. It is suspected that these children have food poisoning.
Health deteriorated due to eating lunch
Possibly the health of these children deteriorated due to dinner. It is also being told that the leftover food of the day was served to these children for dinner. This food got contaminated in such heat and after eating it, the children started falling ill one by one. As soon as the news was received, the police and administration started investigating the matter. DM Lucknow has formed a committee under the chairmanship of CMO to investigate the matter.
Officials are avoiding saying anything
As soon as the information of the incident was received, officials of the Health Department and Food Safety Department reached the hospital. These officials have also questioned the children admitted in the hospital. However, no official is ready to say anything in this regard right now. However, according to official sources, a team of the Health Department and Food Safety Department reached the Rehab Center and took food samples. It is being told that any action can be taken only after the investigation report of the sample comes.
147 girls are in the center
DPO Vikas Singh said that a total of 147 girls were living in this rehab center. Mainly orphans and mentally challenged girls are admitted here. He told that one girl died on Tuesday and one girl died on Wednesday. Both the girls are around 13 years old. Post mortem of their bodies is being done. The real cause of death will be known only after the report comes.
