Bhadohi: Police arrested liquor smuggler Pravesh Yadav, who reached Prayagraj on Sunday to take a dip in the confluence of Mahakumbh like devotees and common people. A senior officer gave this information. Giving details about the arrest of the smuggler, Bhadohi Superintendent of Police Abhimanyu Manglik said that Yadav is a resident of Alwar district of Rajasthan and was absconding for one and a half years.
Manglik said that on July 29, 2023, during the checking of vehicles on National Highway-19, Pradeep Yadav and Raj Domoliya were arrested from Unj police station area of Bhadohi and adulterated liquor being smuggled from Alwar to Bihar was recovered from them,
However, Pravesh Yadav had fled from the spot. He told that now he was arrested on Sunday from the Mahakumbh Mela area in Prayagraj where he had reached to take a dip in the Sangam.
The police is keeping a lot of vigil in Mahakumbh and as a result, the criminals coming here are being nabbed. The number of devotees arriving in Prayagraj is continuously increasing.
