An important decision of Allahabad High Court has surprised everyone. Actually, a young man was arrested in the case of spying for Pakistan. In this case, the court has given its verdict and acquitted him of the charge of spying. The person who has been acquitted by the court will now become an Additional District Judge. The court has directed to issue the appointment letter by January 15, 2025. According to the information, the petitioner had passed the Higher Judicial Service Examination in 2017.
The court has acquitted a person named Pradeep Kumar in two criminal cases and no truth has been found in the allegations in the cases. While acquitting the person, the state government has been directed to get the conduct verification done in two weeks and issue the appointment letter by January 15 after completing all the formalities. A case was registered against the accused youth in Kotwali Kanpur Nagar in 2002. After which the court had mentioned that he was acquitted in the case in 2014.
The court had sent the list of appointments
The person had applied for the Uttar Pradesh High Judicial Service Examination in 2016. The petitioner appeared in the examination and was successful. On 18 August 2017, the High Court sent his list to the state government and ordered the appointment. However, the appointment letter was not issued to the petitioner. The reason for this was that he was a serious accused in the espionage case.
The state government did not have sufficient evidence
The court said in its decision that serious allegations of espionage were leveled against the petitioner, it was also necessary for the state government to consider this matter seriously. But the petitioner has been honorably acquitted in the criminal case, the allegations could not be proved. The court said that the state government does not have any evidence that can prove that he has worked for a foreign agency.
