A huge amount of treasure has been found during the excavation of a field in Rajapur Kala village of Dankaur police station area of Greater Noida. Villagers have found silver coins and a large amount of jewellery from the field. Excavation was being done in the field for filling a house under construction. During this time, people got information about the treasure in the field. After which there was a competition among the villagers to loot the treasure. After the information of the treasure being found, the Archaeological Department has started an investigation into the matter.
A huge amount of treasure has been found during the excavation of a field in Rajapur Kala village. The villagers told that excavation was being done in the field of Gram Pradhan Kailash on Sunday night for filling a house under construction in the village. Soil was being brought in a trolley for filling. The next day the villagers found some coins scattered along with the soil on the way. After which the villagers reached the Pradhan’s field along with the soil spread on the way.
Archaeological Department engaged in investigation
As soon as the information of the treasure was received, a crowd of villagers started looting the treasure. Sources claim that the villagers have found a large amount of white metal ornaments and coins. At the same time, the structure of the metal is said to be of the Mughal and British period. The villagers say that so far 20 kg of silver coins and ornaments have been found in the excavation. As soon as the information about the discovery of treasure was received, the Archaeological Department has started investigation by confiscating 18 to 20 types of ornaments from the villagers.
Dankaur linked to the Mahabharata period

Also, Dankaur town is linked to the Mahabharata period. It is believed that Eklavya had achieved proficiency in archery in front of the statue of Guru Dronacharya present in Dankaur town.
