A shocking incident has come to light in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, where instead of Mahatma Gandhi, Hindi cinema’s veteran actor Anupam Kher’s pictures have been found printed on the notes. Ahmedabad police have seized thousands of such notes of Rs 500, whose total amount is said to be Rs 1 crore 60 lakh. Not only this, ‘Resol Bank of India’ is written on the note instead of ‘Reserve Bank of India’. The video of these fake notes is becoming increasingly viral on social media. Anupam Kher himself has also reacted to this. He shared the photo of the note with his picture printed on it on the social media platform X and wrote in the caption – ‘Lo ji kar lo baat… Anything can happen!’
Anupam Kher was also stunned
Bollywood actor Anupam Kher himself was also surprised to see this viral video. He wrote in the post, “Lo ji kar lo baat! My photo instead of Gandhi ji’s photo on the five hundred rupee note???? Anything can happen!”
Instead of Reserve Bank of India, the note has the name of Resol Bank of India written on it. Also, the SBI paper on the bundle of notes has the name of Start Bank of India printed on it and not State Bank of India. It can be guessed from this that the planning of this fraud is long and deep.
A Gujarat businessman was cheated by giving fake notes
Actually, according to a report in Indian Express, fake notes have been seized from a bullion trader Mehul Thakkar. The bullion trader told that he was to be given an amount of Rs 1 crore 60 lakh in cash. A person gave him a bag full of cash. When the bag was opened, fake notes came out of it on which Anupam Kher’s picture was printed instead of Mahatma Gandhi.
On the complaint of the businessman, the police have registered a case against unknown persons and now it is being investigated how these notes were made and who is the mastermind behind this? An attempt will also be made to find out from where the fake notes are being printed and how many such fake currencies have been circulated?
