It is said that sometimes just a moment is enough to trust each other and walk together throughout life and sometimes even years of love and companionship fall short. Even 25 years of marriage cannot confirm that two people are happy with each other. A similar case came to light from Sambhal in UP where a husband threw acid on his wife and then consumed the poison himself.
The surprising thing is that the husband and wife were married for more than 25 years. Both have young children. After the accident, while the wife was fighting a battle between life and death, the husband committed suicide. The shadow of the father disappeared from the minds of the young children. Almost 60% of the wife’s body has been burnt. The husband poured acid on his wife after which he got scared after seeing her condition. Then the accused consumed poison.
There was a domestic dispute between both of them
Seeing the condition of the wife, the family immediately brought her to the district hospital from where she was referred to a higher center from the district hospital. The name of the accused husband was Rizwan. This entire incident took place in Nai Sarai of Sadar Kotwali. Rizwan, a resident of this place, threw acid on his wife and committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance. The husband was having a domestic dispute with his wife Farzana, but instead of stopping, the dispute between the couple kept increasing.
He brought acid in a bottle and poured it on his face.
Farzana was leaving home to take medicine from the doctor when Rizwan came home. As soon as he reached near, Rizwan poured the acid he had brought in a bottle on his wife Farzana. Farzana got severe burns due to acid falling on her body. Screaming, Farzana ran to her brother-in-law Arman’s house. Armaan immediately admitted Farzana to the district hospital for treatment. The condition was so bad that while bringing him to the hospital, even Armaan’s clothes got burnt due to acid. An hour after this incident, Rizwan consumed poisonous substance. The family members also took Rizwan to the district hospital for treatment.
The victim’s brother filed a case
Sadar CO Sambhal Anuj Kumar Chaudhary reached the district hospital as soon as he got the news of the accident. He took information about the incident from the family members. When the condition did not improve, the doctor gave first aid and referred Rizwan and Farzana to a higher center, but in the meantime Rizwan died. Kotwali in-charge Pawan Kumar said that on the complaint of Farzana’s brother, a report has been registered against Farzana’s husband Rizwan, sister-in-law Rana, Shahana and brother-in-law Anjar.
There used to be disputes regarding husband’s work.
It has come to light that there was a dispute between the husband and wife regarding the husband’s work. Farzana often told her husband to get her out of the house and work. Rizwan used to work hard to somehow feed his family. Such situations had arisen due to financial crunch at home. The wife used to ask him to bring the money earned by doing daily labour. There used to be discord in the house on this issue.
The accused used to beat his wife
Farzana, who was burnt due to acid attack, told in the district hospital that her husband, after working hard for a day, used to take leave for several days and stay at home. When she could not meet the household expenses, she used to talk to her husband about going to work every day. He used to get angry about this and beat her. Farzana said that on Friday she was going to take medicine when her husband Rizwan came and after slapping her suddenly opened the lid of the bottle and threw acid on her.
