Lakhimpur: Roadways contracted bus and Tata Magic vehicle collided head-on. Six people riding the Magic died in this accident that took place on the Pilibhit-Basti National Highway on Sunday afternoon. Eight people are injured, out of which three have been referred to Lucknow due to their critical condition.
The bus was going from Lakhimpur to Bahraich while Tata Magic was coming from Bahraich to Lakhimpur. Both collided on the highway near Shankarpur in Kheri area. The front part of the Magic was badly damaged. The bus also went out of control and fell down on the roadside. However, no passenger on the bus was injured. Four passengers from Kheri district and two from Bahraich district died in the Magic.
