Gorakhpur. There was a sudden explosion at 9 am on Monday in a firecracker factory located in Hasanganj of Jungle Dhusad under Pipraich area of Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Meraj Khan (35) was injured during the blast. The police, which reached the spot with the help of people, admitted the injured to the medical college. With the help of three fire brigade vehicles on the spot, the fire could be controlled after one and a half hours (from 9 am to 10.30 am).
According to some local people, Meraj Khan runs the firecracker factory by the name of Budu Chacha. Like every day, he had reached here in the morning also. The artisans were just collecting materials for making firecrackers outside in the verandah when the firecrackers already kept in the warehouse started exploding.

The explosion was so powerful that the roof of the catamaran was blown off and the wall collapsed. In this regard, the injured factory owner Meraj Khan told that he was talking to a gentleman at a distance of 10 meters. Suddenly an explosion started in the warehouse. As soon as he moved forward to find out the reason, a brick from the wall fell on his feet and he got injured.
In this regard, village head Jangal Dhusaad Rajendra Nishad said that the firecracker factory has been operating for about 20 years, when there was no population, now the population is settling nearby. From security point of view the firecracker factory should be removed from here. In this regard, Inspector Amit Sharma of Pipraich police station said that due to extreme heat in the licensed firecracker factory, a sudden explosion started. Investigation is still going on to find out the real situation. The injured is a resident of Hasanganj of Pipraich who has been admitted for treatment.
