Lucknow. The people of the state will not have to deal with power cuts on the occasion of Prakash Parv, Deepawali. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Power Corporation management is busy in making preparations to ensure 24-hour power supply, keeping the state free from power cuts from Dhanteras to Deepawali.
Instructions for removing obstacles
Energy Minister AK Sharma informed that on festivals like Dhanteras and Deepawali, instructions have been given to supply cut-free electricity to the entire state. M. Devraj, Chairman, Power Corporation has asked the Managing Directors of all Discoms, Chief Engineers and officers of the Electricity Corporation to make arrangements to keep all areas cut-free. It has been said that the officers should take full care in their respective areas. Make necessary arrangements to rectify the interruptions in the power supply at the local level in the shortest possible time.
Special control room will be made
The Chairman has issued detailed guidelines to the Managing Directors of DISCOMs. It has been said that all transformers should be checked for oil condition, load balancing, fuse and earthing of proper capacity etc. It should also be checked that there is no overload on the transformer. Special control rooms should be set up at DISCOM level and district level. In case of unforeseen breakdown, adequate number of repair gangs should be arranged to start power supply at the earliest.
Instructions for special arrangements for Bhaiya Dooj in jails
Minister of State for Prisons Suresh Rahi has directed to make special arrangements to celebrate the festival of Bhaiya Dooj in jails. Rahi has said that arrangements should be made as per rules to celebrate this festival in all the jails. The DG Jail has been directed that the time should be fixed for the sisters coming to meet the prisoners on this festival and arrangements should be made accordingly for the meeting. So that there is no hindrance in celebrating this festival with dignity. All jail superintendents have been asked to issue detailed instructions for this. The minister says that the people of the state celebrate this festival with great pomp, in view of this, arrangements have been made in the jails as well.
