Muzaffarnagar. On Jamalpur Ganganahar bridge of Ramraj police station area of Muzaffarnagar, police had an encounter with three miscreants riding bikes. One miscreant was injured when the police shot in the leg. The police arrested the three miscreants. According to the police, the said miscreants had tried to rob the Bandhan Bank employee who was returning after collecting from village Syali.

CO Shakeel Ahmed said that on Wednesday morning, the police got information that three miscreants were going towards Deval on a bike. On information, the police started a checking operation and laid siege to the miscreants and there was an encounter with the miscreants near Jamalpur Gangnahar police. After the firing by the miscreants, in retaliatory firing, one miscreant got shot in the leg and he got injured. The police arrested the injured miscreant and his two accomplices. During the police interrogation, the injured miscreant named his name as Govind Putra Khemchand resident of Agwanpur police station Parikshitgarh. The police named the remaining two miscreants as Ankit son Raghuveer resident of village Neemka police station Parikshitgarh and Yashpal Yadav son of Hari Shankar resident of village Matora police station Mawana district Meerut. The police recovered a bike, a pistol, three cartridges and two knives from the possession of the miscreants.

CO Shakeel Ahmed said that during interrogation, the arrested miscreants admitted to committing the robbery attempt with a bank employee returning from Syali village of Ramraj on Tuesday. Let us inform that the miscreants had tried to rob the Bandhan Bank employee by attacking and firing. Meanwhile, on the way, he was stopped by three miscreants and tried to rob him on the strength of weapons.
