Saharanpur. The video of the tricolor yatra taken out on Saturday went viral, causing panic. In the video, some children are raising pro-Pakistan slogans. Police have registered a case in this matter, while the school has suspended six students for 15 days.
Schools of Gangoh Nagar took out mass-tricolor rally
During the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, the schools of Gangoh Nagar had collectively taken out a tricolor rally. After the rally was over, students of a school affiliated to CBSE board were going back raising slogans. A video went viral in the afternoon. After getting information from the school management, four students of class 12 and two of class 11 have been suspended for 15 days.
Punishment can be up to three years
Gangoh Kotwali in-charge Jasbir Singh said that a case has been registered against six students under section 153B of IPC. This section is invoked in the charges like stigma etc. prejudicial to the national integrity. It has a provision of imprisonment of up to three years.
