New Delhi. Pakistan captain Babar Azam is currently included in the top three of all three formats of cricket in the ICC rankings. This is the reason that every day he is compared to Virat Kohli, who is considered the best batsman in the world. But when Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza was asked about the comparison of Kohli and Babar Azam, he said that “they both fall in the same category as Tiger Woods and Mohammad Ali”. Raza recently came into the limelight after the ODI series against Bangladesh. He scored two consecutive centuries against Bangladesh and was instrumental in his team’s victory.
The right-handed batsman played an important innings of 135 runs in the first ODI and 117 runs in the second ODI. Sikandar was awarded the ‘Player of the Series’ award for his stellar performance.
While talking on a YouTube channel, he said that ‘Virat bhai is an all-format player. I would like to put Virat in the same bracket as Tiger Woods and Muhammad Ali, these guys revolutionized their game, they thought outside the box and they tried something new, which everyone adopted later.
Sikandar on Virat’s fitness
Regarding Virat’s fitness, Sikandar Raza said that ‘cricket was always about fitness, but the way Virat took that part of the game (fitness) forward for the younger generation, it is commendable and people have got enough of him for it. Credit should be given.’
Sikander on advice to out-of-form Virat
When asked about out-of-form Virat what advice he would like to give to Virat, this batsman said that “I don’t think I have enough experience to advise a player who scores 16-20 thousand runs. What should I tell her? I can’t tell her anything”. He named India, Australia and Pakistan as his favorites in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
