Lucknow. Samajwadi Party National President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has once again questioned the tricolor campaign of the BJP. He said that the national flag is being sold and insulted by BJP workers. While this flag is a symbol of pride for crores of Indians, it is a commodity for the BJP. At the same time, Mayor Rishikesh Upadhyay has described the tweet of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav regarding the insult of the tricolor in Ramnagari as petty politics. He said that doing politics on the tricolor is not a good thing.
This statement of the mayor comes on the tweet of former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, in which he has posted a video mentioning insulting of the tricolor in Ramnagari, in which it is shown distributing the tricolor in a municipal vehicle.
Former SP minister Tej Narayan Pandey told that the mayor himself was leading the tricolor yatra in Ram Nagari. The vehicle in which the tricolor was brought was a garbage truck. If this is not an insult to the tricolor, then what is? SP chief and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has been apprised of this matter.
On the occasion of the Amrit Festival of Independence, a tricolor yatra was taken out in Ramnagari on Saturday under the leadership of the Mayor. Mayor Upadhyay, while giving his stand on this episode, said that it is part of the frivolous politics of the Samajwadi Party. Respect for the tricolor is paramount. The SP chief’s allegation is baseless.
Akhilesh said, BJP should stop setting up shop on everything: Samajwadi Party National President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that playing with the pride of the national flag is shameful and condemnable. In his tweet too, he has warned that BJP should stop setting up shop on everything.
Akhilesh Yadav said that in Chitrakoot, the BJP district president has been seen keeping the national flag near his feet. BJP MLAs in Lakhimpur and BJP leaders in Etawah don’t even know how to hold the tricolor properly. Such degrading treatment of the national flag is inexcusable.
