New Delhi . Former Cabinet Secretary and Principal Advisor to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), P.K. Sinha has resigned from his post due to personal reasons. Sources said the retired 1977-batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre resigned from his post on Monday evening.
Sinha was appointed to the PMO in September 2019 after the general election after retiring as cabinet secretary.
After Principal Secretary Nripendra Mishra, Sinha is the second high-profile bureaucrat to resign from the PMO. Nripendra Mishra resigned after the Lok Sabha elections in August 2019, after which the place was vacant.
