new Delhi. Now farmers across the country will be able to sell their produce at one place. The facility was launched by the Bombay Stock Exchange on Friday. This spot market will be electronic where the produce of the farmers will be registered and auctioned for sale in which buyers from all over the country can participate.
This market has been named BSE e-Agricultural Markets (BEAM). Beam will serve as a nationally electronic spot platform for the sale of agricultural produce where farmers keep their produce electronically which will be auctioned.
Farmers will get the benefit that without going to other states, buyers will also be able to price their produce and farmers will get the price according to the quality of the produce. According to BSE, the beam has been launched as per the Prime Minister’s dream of a market for farmers across the country.
According to BSE MD Ashish Kumar Chauhan, BSE is building a network of distribution of goods at the national level. Items will be purchased here in a completely transparent manner and there will be no personal interest involved. The amount of the purchase of the produce will go directly to the seller’s account.
