Gwalior Protests were attempted in several parts of Madhya Pradesh as part of the Bharat Bandh call on Tuesday to protest against the three agricultural laws of the central government. In the same sequence, protesters tried to surround the protest at the residence of Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar in Gwalior. Police have detained the protesters. The Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party, along with the farmers’ organizations in Gwalior, had called for the bandh to be successful. In this sequence, Congress workers and farmer leaders took to the streets. Congress workers took out a rally in the markets. However, Gwalior’s markets remain closed on Tuesday, so most of the markets remain closed.
Many Aam Aadmi Party activists and peasant protesters rushed to encircle the residence of Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on the Race Course Road. Police deployed there chased down the protesters and took more than 10 people into custody. Similarly, in Dabra, the farmers took to the streets and demonstrated the effigy.
