Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave a stern warning to the police and administration against any harassment in the name of Kovid-19 protocol and said that strict action will be taken if this happens. A state government spokesperson said on Thursday that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that harassment by the police administration in the name of Kovid-19 protocol will not be tolerated at all. He asked the officials to make people aware and motivated to follow the Kovid-19 protocol. According to the spokesperson, the Chief Minister has also made it clear that there is no need to take any permission from the police or the administration for organizing wedding ceremonies.
The Chief Minister has warned to ban the use of DJs and bands at weddings and also to take strict action against abused officers and policemen. Significantly, in the latest guidelines issued by the Uttar Pradesh government on Monday, the participation of more than 100 people in marriage and other social gatherings in halls or similar closed places was banned. Apart from this, in the event of holding such programs in the open, instructions were given to use only 40% of that place. These programs have also been directed to strictly follow the Kovid-19 protocol.
