new Delhi. Once again East Delhi MP Gautam Gambhir and Delhi Government have come face to face. In July last year, Gautam Gambhir, a cricketer-turned-MP from the Gautam Gambhir Foundation, had set up a 50-bed isolation center in the community building of East Delhi Municipal Corporation at Kanti Nagar, which was handed over to the Shahdara district administration. The administration has returned the MP to the center after several months of unused use.
In this regard, the MP tweeted and got angry on Delhi government. The MP told the media that the Delhi government is doing politics of appeasement, at a time when the capital is badly battling Corona. A large number of infected are coming in every day, more than a hundred deaths are occurring. At such a time, the isolation center is most needed and the government returned the center itself. He alleged that a center was built to serve the people and the government did not allow it to run even after several months. Whereas this center was to be run by the administration and not by any organization or political party.
He said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had a meeting with the MPs of Delhi, in which he assured that the government will give permission to run the center in two days. He also alleged that the government returned the center because it was prepared by a BJP MP.
He said that corona virus infection is not happening to anyone, so the government should run this center. It is a matter of public health. The administration says that the administration is running the government center itself, this center was private, so returned as per the rules.
