The VGIR will be organized by the Union Ministry of Finance and the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund. It is a special dialogue between leading global institutional investors, Indian business leaders and the highest decision makers of the Indian government and financial market regulators.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das and other dignitaries will also be present on the occasion.
The roundtable will be attended by the world’s 20 largest pension and sovereign wealth funds (AUM) with a total of $ 6 trillion.
These global institutional investors represent key sectors including the US, Europe, Canada, Korea, Japan, Middle East, Australia and Singapore.
The event will be attended by the policy makers such as CEOs and CIOs. Some of these investors will talk with the Indian government for the first time.
