Vikasnagar (Dehradun). Congress workers led by District Congress Committee President Sanjay Kishore reached Jamnipur, where they sought support in favor of the signature campaign being run against the agricultural bill and pointed out the shortcomings of the bill.
Congress district president Sanjay Kishore explained to the farmers that the agriculture bill is not going to benefit the farmers. Only big farmers and industrialists associated with agriculture sector will be benefited from the agriculture bill. He also appealed for support from farmers in the campaign being run by the Congress to protest against exploitation. During this, Kisan Congress Legislative Assembly President Harsul Sharma, Lekha Sharma, Asad, former Prime Minister Mahendra, Himanshu Gaud, Amjad Ali, Sunil, Mohammad Nawab, Dharmchand etc. were present.
Ukrant’s scolding over drinking water problem
Uttarakhand Kranti Dal staged a sit-in protest in the Jal Sansthan office premises demanding the solution of drinking water problem in Nunnawala and displaced areas under Doiwala municipality area. The workers also sent a memorandum through the officials to the Drinking Water Minister and the Managing Director. The party’s central chairman and former minister Diwakar Bhatt said that the general public is not being heard in the state. Drinking water system in Doiwala region has crumbled, for which no efforts are being made to address it. He said that Uttarakhand Kranti Dal will conduct its movement on issues related to public interest.
UKD leader Shiv Prasad Semwal said that the organization is continuously raising voice to address the problems related to electricity, water, roads and general public of Doiwala region. Kendra Pal Singh Topwal, Balwant Singh Sajwan, Makan Singh Sajwan, Devraj Bhandari, Sohan Singh Sajwan, Vijayalakshmi Bhandari, Vinod Kukreti, Dhanpal Singh Negi, Hemendra Singh, Bahadur Singh Negi, Avtar Singh Bisht, Umaid Singh Kandari, Harish Chandra, Surendra Singh Rawat etc. were involved.
