Sydney | Cricket Australia (CA) chief Earl Eddings has said that Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly has assured him that the Indian team, captained by Virat Kohli, will visit Australia. The newspaper quoted Eddings as saying, “I am 100 percent confident that they are coming. Sourav Ganguly and I have been talking about it for several days and we are already planning that we will once more give him and his See the team here. ”
The report further states that the tour will begin with a limited-overs series and will be followed by a four-match Test series.
The Test series will be held in Adelaide from 17 to 21 December. Other locations include Melbourne (26 to 30 December), Sydney (7 to 11 January) and Brisbane (15 to 19 January).
Reportedly, the Indian team would arrive directly to Brisbane instead of Perth or Adelaide and would not face much of a quarantine despite the ongoing restrictions in Queensland there.
Ganguly is currently in the UAE, where the 13th edition of the IPL is being played.
The Indian team captained by Kohli had won the four-match Test series 2–1 on their tour of Australia in 2018 and became the first Asian team to win the Test series in Australia.
