Mumbai . Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has seized her mobile phone, questioning Bollywood actresses Rakulpreet Singh, Deepika Padukone, her former manager Karishma Prakash and fashion designer Simone Khambata in the drugs case in the case of the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. . Significantly, the actresses were questioned on Friday and Saturday.
An NCB source said, “Deepika, Karishma, Rakul and Khambata’s phones have been confiscated by the NCB under the Indian Evidence Act.”
The phones have been seized after interrogation of Deepika and Karishma on Saturday and Rakul and Khambata on Friday for several hours.
NCB questioned Deepika for five hours on Saturday and Rakul for more than four hours on Friday.
Karisma was questioned for two consecutive days on Friday and Saturday, while Khambata was questioned on Friday.
The source said that the agency collected his phone as evidence of the alleged ‘drug’ chat.
The source also said that NCB has also seized the phone of Jaya Saha, former talent manager of Sushant.
Apart from Deepika, Rakul, Khambata and Karisma, NCB also questioned Bollywood actresses Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan on Saturday for several hours.
NCB filed a case after the ED requested Deepak and his manager to file a case in 2017 after alleged drug chats were found.
Rakul and Khambata’s phones have also been confiscated as both are close friends of Sushant’s girlfriend Riya Chakraborty. Significantly, Riya has been arrested earlier this month after being questioned for three days.
Apart from Riya, NCB has also arrested her brother Shovik and 17 others in connection with the case.
