London. Britain’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned that a second wave of Corona was about to arrive in the country, so to avoid this, rapid security measures would have to be considered. According to a BBC report on Saturday, the government is considering reducing the time people meet and the opening of bars, pubs, etc.
At least 1.35 million people in the UK already face locally imposed restrictions.
Former government adviser Professor Neil Ferguson said that new measures were needed rather than time to come.
The scientist whose advice was preferred over the decision to impose the lockdown in March said, “If we do nothing for two to four weeks to come, the rate of infection will reach even higher than in March.”
The number of cases in the UK is doubling every seven to eight days. On Saturday, 4,422 new cases were confirmed and 27 new lives were reported during this period.
Looking at the current situation, Johnson said on Friday that a large-scale lockdown could be imposed as well as talk of strict adherence to social distancing.
