Prayagraj The Allahabad High Court has taken an initiative to provide accessible justice including legal advice to the people of the middle income group. The court has launched a website called Allahabad High Court Middle Income Group Legal Aid Society. The Middle Income Group Society will make arrangements for people coming in the middle income group to get legal advice, information and to fight their case if required or on a very nominal fee.
According to the plan, people with annual income ranging from six to 12 lakh rupees will be considered in the middle income group. Only such people will be given legal aid. The work of this Middle Income Group Legal Aid Society will be to provide legal aid to the needy, their counseling, legal treatment and represent them in the court if required. Apart from this, there will also be benefits in the matters of arbitration and settlement center and arbitration.
The specialty of this service is that arrangements have been made to extend its benefits to people living in remote areas. For this, it will be made available to those entitled to the facility through e-mail, video call or social media platform. The aim is to avoid people from traveling unnecessarily. The benefits of this will also be available to the elderly, disabled and other people who are not able to travel. There is no cost to consult and benefit from this facility.
Only a fixed token amount will be charged to represent the case in court. The official website of this facility will be available in both Hindi and English languages. To get the benefit of it, the entitled people will have to send their talk and problems in detail to the official website. The petitioner will get an order regarding acceptance or rejection of that application within 15 days of sending. If the application filed is rejected, the person will inform the applicant about the reason for the rejection of the designated advocate of a panel.
