new Delhi. England team batsman David Malan has done well in T20 International cricket in the last few years. He is then compared to Virat Kohli, the captain of the Indian team and the best batsman of all three formats, but Malan admits that he is not even close to Virat Kohli. David Malan’s figures of T20 International cricket are strong, but Virat Kohli’s figures are still better than them.
Virat Kohli is currently the only batsman in the world to have an average of more than 50 ODI, Test and T20 cricket, while David Malan has played only 16 T20 Internationals for England. Unbeaten twice in 16 innings of these 16 matches, David Malan has scored 7 fifties with 1 century at an average of 48.71. With a strikerate of around 150, he has scored 682 runs in the shortest format of cricket, for which he has been compared to Virat.
After the third T20 International played between England and Australia, David Malan has said, “I don’t think I am anywhere near Virat Kohli and those people, even though the numbers suggest that maybe If I played 50 games I could be compared to some extent. ” David Malan is not far from reality, but Virat Kohli is the highest run-scorer in T20 International cricket scoring 2794 runs in 76 innings.
David Malan, 33, has batted at No. 3 against Pakistan and Australia in the absence of Jason Roy and Ben Stokes and has done well. Speaking to a cricket website, he said, “The type of player I am, I like to know where I stand for team setup, that’s why I said when you play in the series, you would know Is what you are going to do. ” Former England captain Naseer Hussain has also called David Malan an incredible player.
