Lucknow. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is investigating the Unnao rape case, has written a letter to the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh and demanded action against one IAS officer and two IPS officers. Former BJP leader Kuldeep Singh Sengar is an accused in the case. The IAS officer was posted as District Magistrate in Unnao at the time of the incident. Two IPS officers were also posted there. The CBI has found all three guilty of negligence in work.
The CBI recommended the government to take action against them after the three found their roles suspicious during the investigation. The SHO of Makhi Kotwali Police Station has been in jail since being found guilty in this case. The CBI has convicted other accused, including Kuldeep Singh Sengar, who was the MLA of Unnao in this case and his brother. Sanger has also been sentenced to life imprisonment based on the CBI charge sheet. His assembly membership was also scrapped due to the punishment.
Sanger is accused of abducting and raping a minor girl in the year 2017. After which the case was handed over to the CBI in view of negligence in the investigation.
