Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated Level 3 Kovid Hospital equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for Corona patients on Monday. This 320-bed hospital will have 125 beds of ICU. There will also be a facility of 40 ventilators. The Chief Minister said, “When I went to Gonda last week, I was asked to inaugurate the Kovid Hospital. How will I run? When the 300-bed dedicated hospital in Gonda can be run by Kovid, why not KGMU. KGMU and SGPGI This is a pinch job. They are manpower mines. By next week, we need 1000 beds of dedicated covid. No one goes without a bed. You have done better so far. We have brought people home. Tablighi If people spread the infection, then it was strictly done. We did a better job. Everyone did something new in the area. This 320-bed hospital should be started by the day after tomorrow. Continue running as well. God bless you Has given humanity an opportunity. The government will help everyone. ”
He said that apart from the already dedicated Dedicated Covid Hospital at KGMU, this hospital should also be kept functioning at full capacity.
The Chief Minister said that when the first case of Kovid came up in the state, there was no treatment facility here. After this, under the guidance of the Prime Minister, we have been able to continuously increase beds for testing and treatment of Kovid-19. For the first time in the state, 72 tests of Kovid-19 were conducted in the lab established in KGMU on 23 March. Currently about 1 lakh 50 thousand tests are being done every day. Out of this, 50 thousand tests are being conducted on RTPCR, 3.5 thousand test trunet machines and about 01 lakh rapid antigen tests. Constant work is being done by the state government for prevention and treatment of Kovid. This has led to the survival of the people on a large scale.
Yogi said that dedicated Kovid hospitals of L-1 and L-2 category are functional in all the districts of the state. Facility of L-3 Kovid Hospitals is also being increased rapidly. At the time of introduction of Kovid-19, 36 districts of the state did not have ventilators. At least 10 ventilators are available in each district at present. All of us should be prepared for a long battle against Kovid-19.
The Chief Minister said that to ensure availability of beds to every person affected by Kovid-19, KGMU, SGPGI and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences should develop the facility of 1 thousand Kovid beds of L-3 category. The state government will provide full support and resources for this. He said that work should be done to convert isolation beds into ICU beds.
The Chief Minister said that virtual ICU should be operated by KGMU, SGPGI and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences for better medical facilities in the state.
